Presenter: Suja Joseph

The pandemic brought about advances in technology that were unprecedented, especially in the workplace. The pandemic also accelerated existing trends in remote work. In this presentation, we will look at the workplace of the future and learn more about what it might look like to work in the Metaverse. The future is here!

Suja Joseph currently serves as the Director of Statewide Reemployment Programs (POAC, ROW and RESEA) within the Maryland Department of Labor’s Division of Workforce Development and Adult Learning. Ms. Joseph earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Biochemistry. She continued her education earning another master’s degree in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She worked at Ft. Detrick for 6 years as a cancer researcher before discovering her passion for helping people navigate successfully through job losses to rebuild rewarding careers.
